We are Mark and Florina Darvell, missionaries serving in Southern Romania.
The name Five Loaves and Two Fish reflects the heart of our ministry. Just as Jesus multiplied a simple meal to feed thousands, we believe He can take our small offering and use it to bless many lives. This miracle reminds us that the work has never been about what we have, but about what God can do when we place it in His hands.
Our Story
Florina has served in Romania since 1999. After marrying Mark, who is from England, in 2008, we have continued serving together while raising our two sons, David and Ruben.
Our ministry began through church planting, visiting families, and sharing the Gospel with children and women. As we came to know the community, we also saw the need for practical help alongside the message of Christ.
Serving Through Maria Naomi
Today, through Maria Naomi, we serve children, women, and families through evangelism, discipleship, and practical care.
Florina leads children's and women's outreach and discipleship programs, while Mark is actively involved in street evangelism, sharing the Gospel and pointing people to Jesus Christ.

Melissa's Natural Fabrics
In 2015, we started a small sewing workshop that became Melissa's Natural Fabrics (melissas.ro). Through it, local women learn valuable skills, receive stable employment, and experience Christian love in practical ways.
